Soto Gading in Solo

The chicken broth is very tasty. Unfortunately it served only several shredded pieces of chicken meat into the soup broth. They put some other side dishes on the table but it's been caught by flies.... It's so unhygienic. My other concerns is the very awfully dirty place because people left some used tissues and left over food on the table and it wasn't immediately picked up plus some people threw some chilli seeds under the table .... In overview the place is unbelievably dirty. I am amazed that Pak Jokowi can eat in such dirty situation....

Love their soto and all of the condiments. They have so many choices of satay.

we came at 12:30, it was so crowded...we have to wait several minutes to get the seats...some fried food already sold out...only boiled egg and bakwan...when we finished about 13:00, we saw the soto is sold out...so no late lunch in this restaurant...better early lunch...

Seems to be very popular place to get breakfast, so in the morning it would be crowded even during weekdays. Affordable prices for the food and drink.

I think this is the best food i ever taste in Solo and the best soto i ever taste in my life. When i first taste it, i thought why does it taste so tasteless, but then people told me to mix my own soto and i guess that's why there's salt, vinegar, soy sauce, lime and chili on the table. Beside that there's also many kind of snack served on the table like satay, sliced meat, ote ote, galantin, tempe and many others. The service is also fast so you don't wait to long but the place usually really crowded even early in the morning. People there are really friendly too even the customer. Overall if i have a chance to visit Solo again, this place will be number one on my food list.

Pack of people eating, its not comfy if you want to spend time eating here. The waitress look exhausted and it just 10am. The Soto is just OK for me...

A traditional soup dish from Solo, Central Java, features small slices of free range chicken with clear broth, tomato slices, rice noodles with shallots and garlic. There’re wide array of side dishes: quail egg satay, chicken innards satay, sosis solo, tempeh, tofu and potato cakes. Better come early in the morning cause it’s usually sold out soon after lunchtime is over. Taste is good with cheap price. Better if there had AC in room inside.

They serve chicken soto with many various of side dishes, tahu, tempe, martabak, perkedel and more. The price is suitable for middle to upper ranged economic class. So, it always be crowded in meal times

Also popular place and foods, but they have minus that is too hot when dine inside, it is better to take the front table when eating here, for the food, they have some choices of serve, like small bowl, big bowl, splitted, and many more, actually i'm not really like their soup (kuah) because it was too much clear and kinda less taste (for me that really really love rich ingredients soo much) , and actually soto im solo almost having same taste each other but it depends on your tongue and yours, maybe it will be different with others reviews

It's local food, and it's the first place this Soto Gading has. The soto looked too plain if you compare it with other local soto, but the light taste of the broth is all that matters. Try also the sate sapi they served at every table, matches the best with the soto. Do anticipate the long queue though.

You'll get here Soto, ethnical foods from Solo. The taste is good and the price is really cheap. But the restaurant need some improvements for room inside and for outside sitting. No air conditioned room and very noisy from the outside traffic.

As expectation, simple but tasty. Didn't take time to order even all tables full. Side disk also good, but most item sold out at 11.30 am. Tea also had good taste and aromatic.

Good food, calming your stomatch, eating while its hot, with a pinch of a lime. Sooo resfreshing. The place will always full. But you have different varieties. Theres a soto gading 1 till 4. And they are close from each other. And sooooo cheap!!

heard a lot about this place but the food was very disappointing. Tasted like water with rice... soup had no flavouring... even adding salt to the water would have made it better. I might have gotten a bad batch, but i wont recommended due to it being very busy and the food was flavorless

If someday you visit Solo city, i recommend you to go to Soto Gading.The food has authentic taste that can not be found anywhere else. There are also many "gorengan" serve here. They also provide some traditional sweet snacks. One more thing, they serve the best ice tea ever. ✓good food✓good service✓good priceI give this place two thumbs up.

The best soto ayam kampung in Sala. The spices are very traditional yet very delicious in taste. The snacks have many variation. President Jokowi is a reguler customer in this place.

It is one recommended coulinary at Solo, for me it is not so special. Yes, the serviceis quite fast, no need to wait too long. Just come and try. The Soto comes with rice, it can be mixed or seperated. You'll also find some addition foods such as Satay, Pindang Egg, Tahu/Tofu, Tempe, Rempeyek.

Usually very busy you have to wait until you got seated. The main menu is soto, with various kinds of food and snack served on the table.

Fast service. Lil bit dirty. Not my fav kind of soto but overall okay. Sosis solo and egg were good.

The SOTO AYAM are delicius but SOTO DAGING are not.

Came here because influenced by President Jokowi's vlog... it was nice & super delicious. I like the kikil and paru so much! Super soft. I came there again next day. You should try this soto. Open at 5:30 am. Unfortunately the chicken they use I think it is not ayam kampung.

What can I say? It is great. Even tho you could wait for a couple of minutes to get served or maybe to take a seat.

If you come at breakfast time, the queues are amazing. You have to wait for other visitors to finish eating and can only get a seat with dirty table. They are also too busy serving food, so table cleanliness is not maintained. They serve lots of side dishes that looks yummy. If you want to enjoy this soup, you should come early morning. Especially when coming with family.

Unable to understand the fuss about this place. Soto is tasteless
